Why?

Who?

The i4c Magazine Publishing Team pulls together internationally recognized Ugandan expertise online, to compile and publish the absolute best of what's on the Internet for a Uganda-wide audience.

Personnel proposed for the Year 1 Start-up Team include:

Dorothy Okello (Editor)
Dorothy Okello is Founder of the award winning Women of Uganda Network. www.WOUGNET.org has delivered information about Internet resources to members online since 2000. Ms. Okello teaches Electrical Engineering at Makerere University, and travels often throughout E. Africa for online initiatives and collaborations. Under her lead, WOUGNET will collaborate with Life in Africa to edit i4c Magazine.

Ibarhim Kaliisa (Technical Designer)
Mr. Kaliisa is Chief Technology Officer at Bankshire Technologies, a Ugandan owned technology design firm registered in Canada. He has over 8 years of experience designing technical solutions for sites in Uganda and abroad, including Uganda's largest Internet portal, www.EnterUganda.co.ug. He will lead his team to build a searchable archive and online-to-offline publishing system for i4c Magazine.

Joseph Kitagenda (Assistant Editor)

Joseph Kitagenda is a recent graduate from the Makerere University Business School, who specialized in business computing. During his study he gained experience in formatting and editing online and offline publications. With a keen interest in the cutting edge of the Internet in Uganda, he has participated in several volunteer user test groups with Internet4Change since early 2003.

Christina Jordan (Creative & Marketing Manager)
Christina Jordan is the Founder of the Life in Africa Foundation, and the initiator of Internet4Change & the i4c Magazine concept. In 2002 she received an international Fellowship from Ashoka to expand her research into creating and delivering online opportunities for local impact to the African grassroots. With a Masters from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and a BA in Linguistics from UCLA, she has over 12 years of experience in financial sector development and project marketing.
