I have been
nurturing ideas for internet4change.com since early 2002,
when I bought the domain. Seven years later, I'm finally
ready to start building it into a one stop shop for
Webbed Empowerment
resources - from all kinds of neighborhoods online - that
can help other "free agent fundraisers" and social
entrepreneurs like me continue to support needy causes
globally through tough economic times.
I also hope to
inspire home-based online entrepreneurs, with simple ideas
for incorporating more and more social benefit into their
online business models. Another plan is to showcase the work
of ordinary folks around the web who are doing just that, in
a variety of ways and for a variety of important causes.
But.... I'm relocating
my family internationally during the first part of this
year, and my connectivity while I am still in Africa is
difficult to say the least. Now that the "clicks"
section of
My Internet4Change Shop is up and running, I don't
anticipate more active development at Internet4Change.com
until after our move in mid-April.
Subscribe to the
i4c newsletter or to the
ourwwworld blog
to stay updated on further developments in the
internet4change space as they happen through the end of 2009
(including preparations for the i4c
charity giveaway). You're also welcome to visit me at my
personal
blog, where I'm winding down after 10 intense
years in Uganda.
I'm glad
you're here to see Internet4Change from the beginning.
Thanks very
much for your patience.
Christina
