Internet4Change training system concepts were prototyped for many years among a small community of collaborators, trainees and trial users in Uganda from 2002-2009.
Since 2009 we’ve been actively convening, participating in and learning through important global conversations about working together for social change. Members of the i4c family have been directly involved in leading or helping to create/organize the following:
- Defining “Collaboration”: in the Social Change Sector (discussion)
- Online Collaboration Resources for Social Entrepreneurs (mega list)
- Beyond Social Media: Collaboration & getting things done (unconference)
- #4change Twitter Chat (monthly online discussion)
- MicroSuccess (social entrepreneur support group)
- Connecting Social Innovation 2010 (unconference w/online follow-up activities)
- Ashoka Changemaker’s Week (cross-silo gathering)
- WE Alliance (collaboration for women’s empowerment)
Our next phase will involve deliberate experiments in connecting changemaker collaboration initiatives for leveraged impact via the internet.
